Our Church celibrates the traditional spiritualism found in the Andes of Peru,
Bolivia and Ecuador. Small communities in isolated villages practice sophisticated, intracate ceremonies which have developed
over centuries.
Of great concern to traditional persons are the intrusive behaviors of missionaries. The people of the
altiplano do not need saving, baptism or conversion. It is the rudest form of ridicule to deride the belief system of an entire
population. The traditional belief system is closely tied to daily life. Breaking these connections harms the very systems
that provide food and shelter in this fragile society.
